Ymchwil yn y Ganolfan Dyscovery

“Ymchwil Dyscovery” yw cangen ymchwil y Ganolfan Dyscovery. Mae'r Tîm Ymchwil yn arbenigo mewn ymchwil gymhwysol i Anhwylderau Cydsymud Datblygiadol a materion eraill ym maes niwroamrywiaeth.

 

Mae ein hymchwil yn arbenigo mewn plant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion sydd â phroffiliau niwroamrywiol [a all gynnwys y rhai sydd wedi'u labelu ag unrhyw gyfuniad o Ddyspracsia, Dyslecsia, Anhwylder Diffyg Canolbwyntio a Gorfywiogrwydd (ADHD), Dyscalcwlia, Amodau Sbectrwm Awtistiaeth (ASC), ac eraill] ac mae'n rhoi’r ffocws ar ennill gwell dealltwriaeth o’r modd y mae niwroamrywiaeth yn effeithio ar bob math o weithgaredd a chyfranogiad ym mywyd bob dydd.

 

Ein nod yw gwella’n dealltwriaeth o’r defnydd a wneir o wybodaeth newydd, a’i  heffaith ar weithwyr proffesiynol sy'n delio ag unigolion â niwroamrywiaeth, yn ogystal â’r unigolion eu hunain. Mae trosglwyddo gwybodaeth yn rhan hanfodol o'r gwaith ac mae cysylltiadau'r Ganolfan rhwng gwaith ymchwil ac ymarfer clinigol yn parhau i fod yn rhan bwysig o'r dulliau a weithredir.

Cynhelir y gwaith ymchwil yn bennaf ym maes anhwylderau datblygiadol. Mae'r Tîm Ymchwil wedi gweithio ar y cyd â nifer o brifysgolion cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys Caerdydd, Bryste, Leeds, Prâg, yr RMIT ym Melbourne, Haifa, a Trondheim yn Norwy.
